Distribution Lead

This position would receive instructions from the Supervisor and directs the work of others to perform the assigned tasks or produce the schedule for the day.
Receives schedule and requirements from Supervisor and then directs the work of departmental employees to include assignment of specific job duties on a daily basis to meet said schedule and requirements.
Provides process-related guidance to employees to include assignment of specific job duties on a daily basis to meet the schedule and requirements provided by the Supervisor.
Provides any necessary supplies to perform the assigned work for the department.
Coordinates with the Supervisor to order necessary materials.
Assists Supervisor in maintaining inventory accuracy.
Ensures the area is operated to meet or exceed established efficiency goals, safety goals, quality and other goals set by the department.
Operates a forklift truck and/or other material handling equipment.
Provides instruction and training for new employees and re-training for all employees when needed.
Maintains a clean, safe and orderly work area.
Fills in for the Supervisors in his/her absence.
Performs other related duties as may be required.
Requires a high school diploma or GED.
Required to possesses better than average computer knowledge, skills, and experience.
Preferred ability to operate material handling equipment to include lift trucks.
Required to have previous specific warehousing experience or in a lead type position with demonstrated abilities to lead others in a fast paced environment.
