This position will manage and maintain configuration control of assigned product lines. Configuration control is broadly defined as product specification and attributes data in ACCO Brands global systems, Kensington SharePoint sites and related data in supplier systems as well as hands on global first article inspection and storage.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
This position will work with team members to manage and maintain configuration control of assigned product lines by conducting 1st Article inspections, creating new item set-ups in Oracle, issuing BOM''s, ECO''s, SCAR''s and working to further develop and implement processes and procedures that enhance the quality of our products and the organization of our document control.
Develop an intimate understanding of the Configuration Control System (in Oracle) and become proficient in using this system to do daily work.
Understand the process of new item setup for the assigned product lines in the system.
Perform First Article inspection relative to the product specification document on finished goods and maintain the First Article product samples archives.
Responsible for ensuring 'as built'' configuration documentation is accurate and reflects approved first article samples.
Understand the processes of Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR).
Perform Responsibility # 1 for any changes to Configuration Control data via Engineering Change Order.
Maintain all Configuration Control related files for responsible product lines within the system and in a meaningful manner for Product team(s) reference and retrieval.
Fully understand ECO and SCAR submission processes and take action to respond to these types of requirements. Manage and maintain all configuration control files of responsible product lines. Communicate with Product and Operation teams internally and with contacts in CM externally for ECO and SCAR issuing activities. Keep related teams in the loop with these activities.
Well understand the current Configuration Control System and the business needs of this system
Skills required:
Understanding of supply chain, mfg and / or data control processes and vernacular

Extremely detail oriented
Supports Kensington by developing relationships with internal cross functional teams.
Proactive approaches to fixing reoccurring issues by partnering with Kensington teams.

Ability to generate and/or run reports
Assures quality and accuracy of data by leveraging Oracle and ReportNet reports.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Reliable, punctual, and minimal absences
Demonstrate excellent skills in collaboration, team work, problem solving/trouble shooting, to achieve goals.
Willingness to take on new challenges and projects
Job
Qualifications:
B.S. degree in operations management, engineering, data management, or equivalent working experience.
Minimum 3
years experience working with supply chain processes, data management or quality assurance required.
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Be able to communicate effectively with all internal managers and employees as well as with external vendors.
Knowledge of Supply Chain practices and procedures is required.
Oracle 11.1 knowledge is preferred.
Excellent time and project management skills.
Candidate must be detail oriented and independent.
Be able to work under pressure, at a fast pace and meet deadlines.
Be able to think and work in innovative ways and possess a 'can-do'' attitude.
Proficient in MS Suite mandatory and skillful in MS Excel preferred.
Required lifting of up to 25 lbs.
